At some point in time everyone of us has to open a large list of URLs from an excel sheet or a text file or a webpage or an email. We either have to copy paste each URL to the browser’s address bar or right click and open in a new tab or window if the links are formatted as Hyperlinks. A tedious process of opening the list.
Brad was one who occasionally had to open large number of web addresses at his work and created www.urlopener.com
This simple site has a large textbox where you have to paste or type list of URLs one per line as below and click on “Submit” button at the bottom of the textbox.
You will then be presented with a list of hyperlinks to all the URLs entered from where you can click on “Open All” button to open all links in browser tabs or click on each link individually to open only selected.
I tested this on Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera and works without any issue. IE 8 needs configuration to allow pop-ups and open pop-ups in new tabs.
This is a simple useful tool that can save you some serious time now and then.
