Good info about Video IDs in YouTube URL

This video by Tom Scott explains if YouTube will ever run out of Video IDs that are used to uniquely identify each video on YouTube.

Each YouTube Video has an ID, that is a unique, random and made of 11 characters

He explains different numbering systems Base 10, Base 2, Base 16 and about the one which YouTube uses, Base 64.

73,786,976,294,838,206,464 – Seventy Three Quintillion, Seven Hindered Eighty Six Quadrillion, Nine Hundred Seventy Six Trillion, Two Hundred Ninety Four Billion, Eight Hundred Thirty Eight Million, Two Hundred Six Thousand, Four Hundred Sixty Four

With this number can YouTube run out of IDs for Videos, Tom Scott says, Technically Yes, Practically No.

How do we heal medicine ? Well Use Checklists

Here is a very interesting TED talk by Dr. Atul Gawande, a Surgeon and Journalist, saying
“Better is possible. It does not take genius. It takes diligence. It takes moral clarity. It takes ingenuity. And above all, it takes a willingness to try”
He says Medicine has become very complex today and we need pit crews with checklists as in other fields of technology to make it better.

Have patience and listen to this 19 Mins talk :)

Thank you for your time.

USB OTG – Connect USB Storage to Mobile

USB On-The-GO (USB OTG)  is a cool, relatively unknown feature on mobile devices that enables us to connect and access normal USB flash drive or storage without the need of ordinary PC. You can view, copy, cut, paste and delete contents on the USB flash drive right from mobile devices. For example you can connect ordinary USB keyboard, digital cameras or USB hard disk to your mobile using USB OTG if it supports.

In 2001 USB OTG was thought of as part of supplement to the USB 2.0 specification, but did not pickup and is available on few mobile devices of Nokia, BenQ and some other brands.

Checkout USB On-The-Go in action with Nokia N8, USB flash drive and Nokia C5 in below video.
